100 Ghost Stories Counting Down To Halloween 2019 #85

WAIALUA

The woman was buying two cases of Heineken for a party going on in a Waikiki hotel room. She stumbled to the cashiers counter and produced her ID and paid for the beer. She was less graceful, walking out to her car in the parking lot. Through the opened passenger side window, she placed the cases of beer on the seat. Making her way around her vehicle to the driver's side, she hopped in and started up the engine. Just then, someone reached in and pulled the keys out of the ignition.
Through her drunken haze, she could see that it was her boyfriend, Morris.

"What the fuck is wrong with you? Are you trying to get yourself killed driving in your condition?" His brown eyes turned into little beads when he was mad.

"Gimme my keys, Morris! I'm late to a par.......partee in Waikiki!" Her words were beginning to slur, and she was so drunk that her beautiful bigs eyes were partly opened slits.

"Fine, you know what.......nevermind.......you're a fucking waste!" Morris pounded his fist on the door and walked away.

"Give me my keys back, asshole!" She screamed after him while simultaneously slamming her hand on the ignition only to find that the keys were still there. All she could do was cry. Through her inebriated fever, she could hear the disappointment and disgust in Morris's voice. She had so much potential to be so many good and great things, and she threw it all away for a drunken night of passion with some water delivery guy she met at her job. Morris already knew because of one of her friends from the office who called him and told him everything. Rather than get mad, Morris followed her to the convenience store and tried to talk sense into her, but she was too drunk to listen and too drunk to drive. She put her car in reverse and smashed the pedal to the floor, breaking Morris right up against the side of a beer truck.

He died quickly.

Despite all of that, Morris's ghost won't let her drive drunk.
